wschaeff,

60% is a high % of applicants to interview but interviewees could interview either off-campus (in your local area with an alum) or on-campus during Super Saturday. Interviewing off-campus would probably mean little to no cost for the interviewee.

sscrewcaptain,

In a 2009 Monroe St Journal article (the online magazine for Ross), Soojin stated that the class size would be around 480. In her Oct 2010 blog post, she stated that they were looking for a class of around 490. Here's hoping that an increase in apps translates to an increase in the potential class size.

.. and here's to continuing my boycott

and the detective work continues..

heres more on the increase in app volume - https://www.accepted.com/chat/transcript ... _ross.aspx

Linda Abraham: That's great. You've already had your round one decisions deadline. Is it up, down, or pretty much the same as the previous year? I think on your blog you said that you were up, right?

Soojin Kwon Koh: Yes, we were up. We were very excited to see the up kick. Last year we were up slightly, and this year we were up a little more than slightly. So we're very excited to welcome in a hopefully, really strong class.

Idk if its necessarily true that increase in APs is better for us. But we will see I guess... Also here in the the big apple nothing is getting done this week at work...

You're right, I just get the sense all schools put a real premium on interviewing on campus. Hearing Admissions Director's speak about interviewing while at info sessions has given me the impression it's worth the investment to make the trip(s).

Agreed I think its always beneficial to interview on campus esp if the yield rate for the school is less than 90%.

Heres Soojin's Oct 2010 blog post (https://rossblogs.typepad.com/admissions ... index.html) where she mentioned an increase in apps across all regions - "We received applications from candidates from over 40 countries and were pleased to see an increase in applications from every region of the world. At this point, it's hard to know where total applications will end up. Regardless of the volume, we're looking to build an incoming class of about 490 students."

My rationale for the calls starting tomorrow morning:
Her Jan 2011 blog post about the calls, [The plan is to start them early next week. (I can't promise whether "early" means Monday or Tuesday)] mentions either Monday or Tuesday and since its already Monday late afternoon ET, Tuesday looks like the winner. Based on the threads from the previous years, calls started around 10-11am ET so my money is still on tomorrow Tuesday late morning. (we're playing with Monopoly money, right?)

So, in conclusion, I have (secretly) boycotted work until I either get a call or get rejected on Friday.
same here man...cant concentrate a single second on work today....waiting for my phone to ring with an international number..!! i really need this call to lift my spirits....

Dear admission team,
Even though there is a big time difference between the US and my location, I urge you to call me anytime.
It's not like I can do anything productive at work now, and sleeping is redundant.

Come on, I'm waiting :-D

I think someone from Ann Arbor just called me, but it was a dropped call. Should I call back or just wait for them to call me back
