Does anyone know approximately what fraction of the R2 invites go out tomorrow in "batch 1"?

Posted from my mobile device
For R1, I think they sent 50% of the invites in each batch, but I wouldn't place any emphasis on which batch you receive your invitation from. Splitting interview invitations into two batches (or waves) serves only to make the scheduling process less chaotic. We had members accepted and denied from both waves without any trend to suggest that one group was more successful than the other.

Good luck R2 GMAT Clubbers!

100% right. It just makes the job more manageable for the interviewers and gives the applicants waiting for the interview invite a finite period of pain. Avernusaur - gotta say this. I love what you did to your avatar.

The December updates post on their Admissions blog had said they want to send out the first batch of invites on the 17th.

R2 applicant. I saw Ross want to send their 1st batch interview invitation on 17th Jan. I am wondering whether they could select people who would get the invitation. Around ten days have passed since r2 applicants submitted their application. Does anyone knows the filtering process for the interview invitation? I don't think they could read each applicant's essays meticulously.

Guys, I believe Ross does a background check for the admitted students. Any Idea when and what kind of verification will be done?

The standard background check at most Bschools: Criminal (a speeding ticket is fine, insider trading big no), undergraduate college, checks with employers (HR) and recommenders. Must align with your CV (dates, firms, positions). Quite generic nowadays given that most HR would only confirm basics for legal reasons. Sth like: "Mr X has been employed as banker, consultant, engineer with our firm since Aug. 2007." Not sure about credit check or bankruptcies.

So are the interview invites going to be e-mails or do we have to ping the site every few minutes anticipating a status change?

While I could see Kroll pulling credit report data to use it to confirm where you've lived, etc. a school couldn't really use it for any more, and if they did, you wouldn't need to go get your MBA as you could live off the lawsuit money you made from that school.

You'll get an email which will have further details about how to setup the interview. You will need to do that through a different site where you will need to login using the details provided. Some might get their invites a day or so later. This happened with me and I got a separate email from Ross apologizing for the delay due to a glitch in the system.

hope that helps u all...

I accepted the 'waitlist' offer but I did not receive an e-mail confirming that. Is the AdCom supposed to do so? I think that all interactions from now on will be through the Wolverine system.
