I'm usually not the bearer of bad news and would like to tell everyone to remain optimistic. This whole ordeal of applying is a roller-coaster and at very random.

That being said, all R2 invites have been sent out according to Soojin's blog:

"All Round 2 interview invitations are out

The last of our Round 2 interview invitations were sent out this afternoon. If you did not receive an interview invitation this round, it is possible that you will be invited in Round 3. We will not begin reviewing Round 3 applications until mid-March, and interview invitations will go out after that time."

Regardless of your outcome, you have to commend them on their transparency.

I agree that Ross is very transparent. No invite here. I have pretty much given up, but surely will be tracking this for an R3 invite.... i guess its something like the slimmest chances ever.

Probably not until the regular deadline. I can't believe you wouldn't at least get an invite w/ your profile, that seems astonishing to me.

I grew up about 25 miles from Ann Arbor, and spent a significant amount of time living near Raleigh-Durham. Just to be fair to Duke, Durham isn't considered to be the nicest of college towns, but Chapel Hill, home to University of North Carolina, is a classic American college town and only about 10 miles away. Chapel Hill is #40 on that list.

It really depends what you're looking for. Duke is a smaller, more insular campus, while Michigan's campus feels more like a part of the town. Personally, I like Michigan's better. However, the overall area in North Carolina is probably nicer, mostly because Raleigh isn't anywhere near as bad as Detroit, and it doesn't snow there most years, which may be a plus for you.

I just visited Ross this weekend and visited Duke about 3 weeks ago. I definitely liked Ann Arbor better than Durham or Chapel Hill, if my decision was only based on where I'd rather live than it would be Michigan for me hands down (assuming I get accepted anyway). I had a really great time there and enjoyed going out with the students, I could definitely see myself fitting in and think I would have more fun there. Duke on the other hand, I feel is better for CPG marketing, which is what I'm going for and I have to keep reminding myself that the main focus here is to get the career I want, not to party :roll: But part of me feels I would probably get the same opportunities regardless, so I should just pick the one I like better. Have a feeling if I get into Ross I'll be going back and forth between the two until the last possible day.

yea, the culture at ross is definitely friendly and fun...ive been admitted at said (oxford) and ross and there is a huge difference between the two in terms of how forthcoming the adcom, alumni, students, etc of ross are....i was really happy with this....the whole atmosphere is very friendly and happy....i luv it for tht...

youve been admitted at duke michmax....how is everyone there?? would you like to comment??

if u arent invited in r2, 3 things can happen now -

1) you could still get an invite before the r2 decision day (very very unlikely, specially since soojin mentioned tht there would be no more invited for r2 now). But the adcom always maintains not to lose hope and that you could still be invited later...

2) you are in the waitlist - but u'll hear this decision only on the decision deadline

3) ding - again, you wont hear this before the decision deadline....

so for all those who didnt get the invite, hang on until the decision deadline to hear the final words....
