Guys... applied to the R1 and been here silent for a while... didnt receive an invite yet... my status on Ross showed my application until yest... but whn I cheked it yest my application was gone... but now its back whn i checked this morn... so it seems like they really had this "technical issue"... just hoping that there is still a chance for invites to flow in...

Just got the invite. Got a mail saying that they were facing some tech issue with some invites. They are sending them out today.

Thanks Kingscreep for your feedback. Please dont take my frustation in the wrong way. Ross is one of my dream schools and I was just feeling sad but that's about it. It would be great if you can getback to us with some hope. Thanks a bunch, again.

ok did my interview today with alum from Brooklyn. It was pretty good overall. She was quite inquisitive on my goals - asked 5-6 questions on it! It was kinda weird I guess but she felt pretty good about my goal in the end and I think it was overall positive.

Regret for my ignorance... but where exactly do you see the status of your online application... All I get to see is "Review Your Activity".. can somebody please help me...

The "Review Your Activity" is exactly where you see the status of your application. Unfortunately, the status is not updated in a timely matter. Most likely, as with the rest of us, you likely still have a status that just says that you have submitted your application. It seems that even those with an invite still have this older status. I look forward to a change, even if it is bad news. Some news, even bad news in this case, is better than no news.

for those who are invited there's a separate link to login and do interview stuff so i guess that's why the main activity isn't updated....

Ross is making the interview process really stressful for it prospective students. There should've been more planning and co-ordination effort put into the interview process by the adcom. These kind of responses and delays from a purportedly Top 10 b-school are deplorable. If only the adcom has the faintest idea of the time, effort, money that applicants put into the entire application process for their school, it probably would act lot more responsibly. I'm not sure how long some of us have to wait inorder for their "technical glitch" to be fixed and to really know for sure if we made it to the interview or otherwise!

Having been through the process a couple of years ago, I completely understand your frustration at this. But I wouldn't jump so quickly to blame the ad-com for the process just yet. I know for a fact that Ross revamped its IT system this year (student portal, printing, etc.), and this is the first admissions cycle with the new system. The Ross ad-com genuinely wants to have the least hassle free process for its applicants, and this new system is an attempt at just that. The R-1 wave-1 applicants here all appeared to have a very straightforward and relatively stress-free experience, and all of them complimented the new Ross process. It looks like there was a genuine technical glitch with the R-1 wave-2 applicants. Could the situation have been handled a little better? Probably yes. But does that mean the Ross ad-com doesn't care about it applicants? Absolutely Not. Just fyi..the Director of Admissions is a Ross MBA herself - so she has put in the same time, effort and money that all of us have, albeit a few years ago.

I'll check up on this ASAP and get back to you all, and once again - I understand your frustration about this. But for what it's worth, I assure you that the ad-com is doing its best to fix the situation.

Agreed. Please hang in there, guys! To be honest, when I was applying last year, I thought Ross was the best at maintaining a dialogue with its applicants or at least trying to get relevant info to them. I thought that Soojin's blog was especially useful.

Having been through the process, I know it is very nerve-racking. Congrats to the ones who received interview invites, and best of luck to everyone!

Received an invite for interview yesterday. I am a reapplicant from India.

I got mail saying due to technical glitch very few interview mails has been sent, the problem will be resolved by Monday. SO guys there is still hope.

Now I am seriously confused ...
First was the wait on Friday which ended pretty sadly at a bar in Seattle.

Then came this post:

Guys...still have hopes

I just receive the mail

"This is to inform you that you have been invited to interview for the Ross School of Business. Due to a technical glitch in our online scheduling system, a small number of applicants did not receive the invitation, which contains a personal login to our scheduling system. We will be re-sending the invitation today. In the event that it doesn’t go through, we hope to have it resolved on Monday. In the meantime, we wanted to minimize your anxiety and let you know that you have been selected for an interview. Thank you for your patience."
Note it said "a small number of applicants did not receive the invitation...."

Then came the following post:

Got my first invite for interview with Ross alumni, it has been a long week of waiting. pheww. Hope to arrange a time that fits both travel schedules.

Strangely, the email ended up in the spam folder and I nearly deleted email without reading. Close call, I may need to reset my email account.
