^^ i'm thinking of coming in early and doing "visit in person (vip)" to do a class visit since i've never visited before. are you coming in from sf? i'm from the la/oc area.

I doubt if we there is a way to check the current status. I might be wrong though. If anybody here does know of how to view the same, I too would definitely like to know!

I interviewed on Monday, and my interviewer sent me an email to let me know that he submitted the recap last night. My application page still shows the following status.

R1 decisions will be released by Friday, January 13th. Based on last year's thread, those admitted may start receiving calls as early as Monday, January 9th.

i'm from the la/oc area myself and went to ucsd for undergrad...how has it been adjusting to a more college town campus with drastically different weather?

Fall is nice, Winter can be harder however you're so busy with business school you don't notice that much. What is really nice about Ann Arbor is that everyone is very close and you can get to anyone house in like 5 minutes, not like LA.

Any applicant from India who has done his in-person interview with Alumni yet?

Mine is on 16th Nov in Mumbai.

I wonder though how much importance will an interview with a current student be?
I mean it should not and cannot be a make or break deal for sure.

Any idea about the points on which candidates are rated by the Alumni?
I can think of:
1. Interpersonal skills
2. Communication skills
3. Clarity of goals post MBA
4. Fit with Ross (subjective to a certain extent)
5. Presentation skills (beware of what you wear)

It looks like a good number of the participants on this forum are still waiting for interview invitations. I am hoping I would be part of the next batch of invitations for interview on Nov 14th.

By the way, what percentage of applicants are invited for interview?

See the following quote from BusinessWeek. I believe these stats are for the Class of 2012.

I plan on applying for round 3. Yes, terrible idea but the stars would have to align just right to get my app in before January 4th.

The thing that I have noticed about U of M based on their website is they want you to get in. I have never seen such a wealth of information on a school website as what I have read on theirs. Read Soojin Kwon Koh's Blog and you'll see what I mean.
