I think anyone who has not got an admit is either waitlisted or waitlisted without interview. Dont think there is a single reject.

I heard that R1 applicants who offered waitlist (with interviwe) are very near admit considering previous year's cases. I guess adcom wants to admit them after reviewing R2 applicant. We should not loose hope and continue effort to make additional appeals to adcom!
So I got waitlisted without an interview, what does that mean, my app will be considered in R2?
Edit: Corrected some spelling mistakes, I really should ease off on the caffeine.
Based on previous years experience, if you were waitlisted without interview, you should get an interview in the next round.
well that's nice to hear, but I'll wait and see what happens. Any advice what I should do in the meantime? Thanks!

Well since you're wait list without interview, give it a little time for the R2 interviews to come out. If you don't get anything then you can contact the schools, but from past years wait list without interview mean you should get an interview.
I'm waitlisted after interview. Hmm not sure about this waitlist with Ross. Looks like there are no rejects. Hope Ross does a chat for wait listed candidates.

I agree. It could be a combination of them playing it safe because of the very low yield last year, and the possibility of the quality of the R2 apps being way below the R1 apps this year. In any case, being put on the waitlist at Ross this year doesn't seem like as good of a sign as being added to some other school's waitlist.
