The irony is that some of the profiles would have been me a few years ago (time travel?). Everyone talks about there being no age bias, but I am yet to see someone older than 27 get into H/S.

Interesting. I haven't heard of any older admits either (yet). Also, I am 27...

Regarding age bias, I am 29 and will be close to 30 at matriculation at GSB. I was dinged at HBS sans interview. Interpret how you will.

Your profile is impressive. Congratulations... I believe Stanford is more flexible than HBS, but when you think of the fact that a 20 year old senior will be in the same class, it's not really an apples to apples comparison. I don't envy the adcom on their selection tasks.

Same story here... ding without interview. No surprise I guess. I will say that the old wisdom that your first app is your worst seemed to ring true for me. I did Stanford first and put A LOT more time into it than either Chi or W, but reading back on my essays they're definitely much weaker than the others.

It's a no-go for me too.
Congratulations to everyone who got in and best of luck to those of you on the wait list.
Thanks to everyone for "walking" with me on this journey. I hope you find huge success no matter what this decision held for you.

Roll call updated. Congrats to all admits. For all Dings dont worry it is Stanfords loss for sure.
On a personal note.. Dinged and I think I wont be visiting this topic so much. I would like someone to take over from here to update the statuses on the front page. PM me if you want to take over.
Good run guys.

 DINGED without an interview.

Guess Stanford definitely is not what matters me most!

Loved this rollercoaster ride of self analysis and deep retrospection & introspection! You guys with your start ups and amazing extracurricular lives were an absolute serendipity to run into - truly recharged my natural enterprenuer spirits and style. Nice coming across you all.

Live it up!

I am applying R2 to the Joint Program along with E-Iper (for a focus in alternative energy). Looks like its going to be tough - lots of really competitive dings from R1!

Best of luck all!
