Wait till late afternoon. Stanford, unlike HBS (which sends most invites in the first half) sends its invites in the later part of the day...

Yep the next few days before thanksgiving have historically been big days... Best wishes to everyone around waiting for an invite....

Expecting an interview invitation badly...!! Anyone from Bangalore or Mumbai got invitations ?? And will normal Indian applicants and Reliance water thing people will get separate invite?

Agree...every single analysis of the Stanford essays that I've seen (as well as what the adcom will tell you) is to take this topic to heart and talk about what actually matters most to you. Trying to write about something else that you think they want to hear about is probably going to come off as pretty hollow.

Agreed. Really take this one to heart - it should take you a long time to write.

I found writing this essay incredibly valuable on a personal level. Regardless of whether it helps me get into Stanford or not, I found this essay to be a well-needed self examination.

It's not every day that someone asks you what matters most to you personally. Take some time and figure out what that really is.
