yeah! I wonder what they are doing this time .. they dont communicate at all during the interview invite wait period as well (correct me if this is wrong) .. someone should give this feedback to them .. maybe a current student? If they communicated where they are at, it would help with the angst

Is there a trend on the time at which they send the invites?.. 9 am PST? noon?... If anyone has come up with a theory on this, it would be greatly appreciated.. otherwise I'll continue refreshing my inbox every couple of minutes..

Can someone share some coping mechanisms? I am tired of refreshing my inbox, re-reading my essays, and looking for typos in my application....

hit the gym and lift heavy, works for me.

Also try some strong preworkout supplement, I use JAck3d (awesome) and sometimes BSN NOXplode.

Stanford Admissions office is on leave from 24th onwards and is on a half day leave on 23rd. So if I don't get any invitation by 22nd (Tuesday), I would not have much hopes from Stanford.

Well they will be back at work on the 28th according to their website, and from what I've read here invites were still going out up until Dec 1st last year, so I think there will still be hope until the end of November. (for better or worse, I wish they would communicate better)

Actually, after my first interview on Monday with a Booth alumni, I'm not nearly as worried. If I get into any of the schools I applied to, I'll be in great shape to reach my goals, and I feel like the Booth interview went really well, so while I'm still really nervous, I'm also partially cautiously optimistic. Of course that being said I still jump every time I hear the "you have mail" sound, hoping its from Stanford!

Or you could pick up the new Call of Duty game... I assure you that that game is magic - it makes time disappear.

Before you know it, it will be a month, you will have grown a beard, gained some weight, AND the decision dates will be right ahead of you!

The deadline was much earlier last year ... I would expect interview invites to go out until Dec 7th at least

Yeah I did see accounts of people getting invites a week before the decision, which I think is crazy on Stanford's part, so you may be right.

Received GSB interview invite. good luck everyone!

A bit strange about the invite though, it says stanford is unable to locate an alumni in my area, and the letter asks me to state my willingness and extent to which i can travel for the interview. some advice will be helpful:
1. with less than 3 weeks from R1 deadline, it will be difficult to get a visa and go to US. (Any Indians received such an email??)
2. The invite ended with: "we can also conduct phone interviews." now many say phone interviews are not as good as face to face interviews, any advice how to face this situation?

(If any Indian willing to travel to nearby countries : Dubai/Hongkong etc., pl. let me know)

Congrats Mayank ! Good luck for the interview. And yeah, it's better to travel I guess.
