Essay 1: What matters most to you, and why? The best examples of Essay 1 reflect the process of self-examination that you have undertaken to write them. Instead, they share with us the values, experiences, and lessons that have shaped your perspectives. Essay 2: What do you want to do—REALLY—and why Stanford? Use this essay to explain your view of your future, not to repeat accomplishments from your past. Hey guys want some thoughts here. I am in NY and haven't heard anything yet, although I have heard from a lot of previous GSB students from NY that they have heard within last 2 weeks and some even within days. You think NY is last and do you still think there is hope?

Yea it would. They informed me one of their friends were notified within 5 days of deadline. basically giving you 48 hours to complete the interview.

Also, everyone i know who also applied and in NY has yet to hear anything. so lets hope thats good news for all of us NY'ers

It appear no invites out today so far... Also, the office will be closed this Wednesday, so assuming the email they sent says they will interview until one week prior to the deadline, should we lose hope on Wednesday, or Friday? Thanks

I'm keepin hope until Friday most likely. I have seen several posts/comments about people receiving invites within a week prior to decision and having their interview days before decision.

Maybe it is by industry. I have seen high tech and consultants but no IB yet. Any IB get interviews yet?

Hi all,
1. See below the text taken from the Stanford interview invite email, from the FAQ part. They say they send interview invites until a week before the deadline (end of tomorrow).
2. I heard that if you get in they let you know a day in advance, and they wait until the last day (the 14th) only for dings/waiting list. Did you hear about that? What do you think?

6. Is there any significance to when I received my interview invitation?

No, the timing of your interview invitation reflects only the order in which your application was reviewed. Interview invitations are extended from about a week after the round's deadline until about a week before the round's notification date, because it takes the Admissions Committee that entire period to review all applications thoroughly.

Stanford GSB's website says "We do not release admission decisions via telephone or in person."

though as per last year's thread, admits were called one day before deadline. guess they changed that this year.
