asianstyles, I haven't heard anything. :( I read the same post on BW and got a little bit freaked out. I am really hoping to hear something before UT admissions office closes up shop for winter break. Apparently last year they were closed from 12/19 to around 1/5.

I am hoping to hear back soon also. I interviewed on November 5th, so it will be about 4 weeks since my interview in a few days. During my interview, they said I would hear back in about 4 to 6 weeks.

They also told me 4-6 weeks after you interview. I interviewed Oct 25th, my 6 weeks are up this Friday!

Hey hookem,

If you haven't heard anything yet I would email MAC and just ask to make sure all of your documents are in and there is nothing further for you to do - a subtle way of saying, "Where the @$%# is my invite?!"

I applied to Rice as well and hope to hear from them in the next 2 weeks. If you get a decision or hear anything from the school let me know. I'll do the same. It would be nice if Rice had a forum!

As far as the guy who got dinged on the BW forum, I'm not sure if that is good news or bad! I have mixed feelings about it, but at least that means that decisions are being made.

If I recall correctly, McCombs requires an attachment sheet (available in PDF download) to be submitted with additional information mailed to them. But I would be wrong. You should probably give them a call.

This is correct. You should send in the attachment sheet with your transcripts. It has the address on the attachment sheet.

Regarding the PDF letter, I saw that notice, and thats where my confusion arose. Most schools consider transcripts official only if they are sealed by the registar. But they want "official" transcripts that have been opened and have the PDF included?

I interviewed on October 28th I think. I didn't ask them about when I could expect to hear back from them because most information I saw online hinted towards a mid-December decision.

I'm actually a bit glad I haven't heard from them yet because if McCombs is a little late getting a decision out I don't want to end up putting down a $2K deposit with Rice to avoid losing my spot, assuming acceptance of course.

I hope we both get into McCombs - but Rice (aside from the $$$$$$$$$$ in tuition) is still a kick-ass MBA!

Rice would be my backup as well. I haven't submitted yet, I want to hear from Texas first. The Rice website says if you apply R1 (by Nov 9th), then you will get a decision by Dec 18th.

680 gmat / 3.4 gpa / business major / 4 years work exp in corporate banking at matriculation

applied early by 11/2 - but they didnt have my GMAT....
gmat in by 11/8 ish
interview invite 11/20
interviewed with alum 12/2

from what I heard it is about a 4 week wait for a decision, so probably early janurary?
although when I went to an MBA friday event they said 1/30/10.. not sure what to expect....

interview:
-have a leadership example
-team example working with diversity
-what you plan to do after graduating from mccombs ie giving back to community

Ok... I suppose I should quit lurking.

I applied 10/2... interviewed 10/23. Also on the 23rd I went to a class visit and lunch.

In one on one interviews I tend to do poorly but I think I did alright. I did choke on the teamwork question a bit (had to be asked follow-ups) which is unfortunate because I work in an environment that requires a ton of team work and cross department communication.

GMAT: 720
GPA: 3.25
Degree: BS Finance (plus 18 hours accounting)
Age: 27
WE at matriculation: 6 years (finance/tax/accouting)
