Did yall have to get your transcripts sent from your undergrad? Or is there a way to upload a scanned one? (I didn't see that option).

UT requires that official transcripts be sent before the application is considered complete. However, you can send the transcripts to UT as long as they are in a sealed envelope.

JTC, congrats on the interview invite!

Thanks, where is SXSW? BTW, I like your choice of schools.

JCT, thanks for the quick response on the transcript question. I was afraid of that answer though :) . I'm going to have to get on that tomorrow.

SXSW = south by southwest, but I dont know why I put that. I'm in Dallas.

One other thing that is a little different. You won't recieve any sort of notification when your recommenders submit their LOR. You have to call UT or your recommender and make sure that they are in.

I had my interview with a local alum yesterday. Received my invite on 10/16, last rec went in on 10/12. The interview was at a local coffee shop, very casual, and lasted approx 1 hour. To prepare I reviewed the interview questions posted on the "Calling All Texas-McCombs Fall 2009 Applicants" board and felt that was sufficient. Best of luck to everyone with interviews coming up.

I checked the online application status check page and it shows whether or not your recommendations have been submitted. It also shows if any other materials are missing, such as your GMAT scores and transcripts.

Hi texasorbust,
Would you mind giving us a run down of your interview experience and questions?

Here is a list of questions used in previous McCombs interviews that I compiled from past discussion boards...

1. Walk me through your resume.
2. Why an MBA, why McCombs, why now?
3. What qualities do you value in a leader, talk about leadership experience. Name someone who is a good leader and what makes them so?
4. What is a frustrating experience at work?
5. What will you contribute to McCombs, what will you contribute to a group?
6. What are your strengths, weaknesses?
7. What will be the most challenging aspect for you of working in a study group?
8. What have you learned about yourself through the application process? What do you wish you could improve in your application?
9. How will you reach out to international students?
10. What will you do to leave a lasting impact on McCombs after you have graduated?

Other than "walk me through your resume" none of the other questions were directly asked as the interview was more conversational style.

The alum who interviewed me was very interested in any questions I had about McCombs. DEFINATELY have several questions about Texas ready to go for when they ask.

Lastly, I wouldn't try to script/memorize answers. Just make bullet points and know what you want to talk about for each question type.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I am a big fan of the rolling admissions process.

On another note, it doesn't look like we have too many people applying to Texas this year on the forum.
