This thread got really quiet. It seemed for a while that UT was notifying waitlists/accepts daily, and now it appears not to be the case....no one's heard anything in the past two days?
It sounds to me like they got through a bunch of the admits, then last week were mainly sending out dings and waitlists from their first batch of applicants.
Hopefully they will start on interview invites for the next batch (~all materials completed in mid-December) soon.
Yes, this thread has gotten quite quiet. I have not heard anything and keep checking the dean's letter page obsessively. I guess no news is better than bad news…
Big Dre...best of luck to you. I will be in the same boat shortly. How and when did you send your transcripts. If you overnighted, did you send to the "overnight" address on the GIAC form? I wondered if they would check that during business hours.

I didn't overnight my transcript, I just sent it regular mail. I had an extra sealed copy from my college registrar office. There is a form that you have to complete to ensure that they link your transcript to the correct application. It is fairly straightforward, and available, I believe, on the first page of the application. If you send the transcript directly from your college, you don't need this form. Let me know how that works out for you. Best of luck to you as well.

Full disclosure - I just panicked and decided to overnight my transcript....
I applied before the first deadline, interviewed just before Thanksgiving and have still not heard back. Fingers crossed! Hopefully, will hear something tomorrow.
Had a question- has any international student received a decision? Wondering if they are processing the R1 domestic applicants first.
OMG! My GMAT score is missing! My score report history clearly shows it reported to The Red McCombs School of Business - MBA, Full Time Austin TX, USA on 12/21/2009. But, application status check at UT still harasses me with Need an official GRE or an official GMAT score report from the test agency.
yuskay- just call the GIAC (not the business school). They are usually very helpful. They probably might not have updated the records. I had a small problem with one of my updates and I called them. They fixed it even before the phone call ended. Unless they show your records as complete, the B-school might not process your app.
Yuskay, I had a similar issue and I called the GIAC and they fixed it immediately over the phone. They try to match everything in your application by your SSN, but if you don't report that on your GMAT, apparently you can run into a few issues. The woman I spoke to was super nice and helpful.
FYI, I emailed McCombs AdCom yesterday about my application status and they wrote back: "A final decision has not been made on your application at this time. You will be notified as soon as it has. You should have a decision by the end of the month. We appreciate your patience as we are managing a high volume of applications."
I am a domestic R1 applicant so hopefully that means that not hearing by now isn't a ding.
