BTW this is what I heard from Laveshan about his interview debrief :-
The interview was like a standard job interview:
1. Tell me about yourself
2. Why MBA, why WHU?
3. Strengths/Weaknesses
4. Tell me about a time...
5. Questions about your family and whether they are accompanying you (I think this is more to see if you have thought through actually moving to Germany and what it means for your family).
General advice:
1. Be confident but not arrogant
2. Make sure your technicals are sorted out before the interview. Make sure the internet is strong, and no one will be walking in the room to disturb you.
3. Be authentic and honest, they will pick up if you are trying to lie. The interview questions are simple but they are very experienced and can easily spot the deceivers.
4. I wore a suit coat and no tie, I guess any smart business attire will do.
5. Know your CV, in case they ask you anything from it.
6. Know why you want to move to Germany, you must be able to show them you have considered all the factors (if you are planning to work in Germany you will need to learn German)
7. Lastly, prepare in front of a mirror or a camera, you dont want to be umming and aahing, it will show you didnt prep properly. You must talk like you know without sounding practised.
