OK thanks... I faxed in both applications regardless...who knows the sun just might shine on me someday :wink: Although it all seems very very gloomy at this point.

Even if one gets on the WL, what are the chances of converting that WL to an admit? Almost zilch I would think given the reputation Tuck has, I'd expect the yield to be pretty high....which does not help WLers

Ok I will try to answer your questions

about whether this essay is reviewed seperately, I think the answer is yes, because this essay asks you to write about include degrees earned!! so obviously the people who review this essay don't EVEN have access to your resume! :)

About whether to even bother sending it. Hmmmm... given the fact that you have not been invited to interview I don't think you should expect an admit (sorry), but you might get waitlisted!! and with a WL you are still in the game, while the financial aid application deadline is today and if you don't apply for it today you will be out of the game for fin aid even if you eventually get an admit from the WL. Also, after all this essay writting for R2 it is really easy to complose a one page short bio essay! it took me like 2-3 hours to write a nice essay because I had used many of my 'pitch' sentences that I have come up with for other essays.

Is this scholaship essay reviewed in conjunction with the normal admission essays or otherwise?
I don't want my essay to sound redundant but, I've used up ALL major points in the application essays itself.

Input/views in this regard will be very helpful...

I don't even know why I am doing this.. I sent in my app for the Jan deadline and haven't even got an interview invite yet. So really dunno if sending this in makes sense. Again, what do you folks think?

Would it be worth posting your interview dates along side the Submission Date? It will help us get an idea of how long, approximately, it takes for the AdCom to get around to scheduling an interview after the submission? Thanks.

yeah I have totally forgotten about Tuck lately, with all the drama at Ross going on right now. But Tuck is still my dream school ! ... but quite a reach also since I had a terrible interview.

I think Tuck calls should go out on Thursday (the 20th) so almost exactly a week to call-time :)

conidering the fact that I probably won't get in Ross (most people got called already)
I sure as hell won't get in Tuck next week, especially after the bad interview and the fact that Tuck is much much much harder to get in.

... so I am thinking about going to a Greek island next week and relax, I need a vacation :)

I've pretty much decided to attend UW regardless of what happens with tuck (easy enough to say when I'm not admitted). Crazy, eh?

You are not alone in the "club of wannabe vacationers". Boy! This whole process has gotten everyone stressed out and I am so thankful there is a little help from the occasional therapy sessions with Mojitos and Vodka on the Rocks. If not for that this whole process would be very difficulty to handle, especially this "waiting" part.

Anyway, I've pretty much given-up on Tuck except for that one last shred of hope. As the Republican Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee said it: I majored in Miracles, I am hoping for some divine intervention at this point to save me from the dreaded "DING".... Good luck to those who are still hopeful!

yeah, let's organize a group vacation for all people that got dinged by every school they applied to this season. It will be a group therapy thing! We can reserve a small greek island only for us, it will be the dinged people island !

Oh boy... why are you guys so negative? What does it cost to sound a bit more optimistic? I say we'll all get in and comes this time next year, we'll all be in snow-filled Hannover, drinking to kill time...

But then, maybe comes next week, we'll all be online here, posting drunk messages as we drink to overcome the depressing anticipation :-(
