Hey, who are you calling a pessimist?! 
People have long misunderstood optimism and pessimism. They get it backwards.
Lets consider 2 people in the same situation.
PersonA: "I think this place is great!"
PersonB: "I can't believe these fools think this is the right way to do things."
Most people would say that PersonA is the optimist, PersonB the pessimist.
Upon second look, however things change.
Since they are in the same situation, PersonA is implying that things are as good as they will get.
PersonB, by complaining, implies that things could get much better.
So, PersonA sees the glass as "full" while PersonB is looking for a bigger glass (so that IT can be filled).
Anyone buy this?

Normaly i am a big optimist. Hell.. I applied to Tuck with 24 years of age and 1.5 years of WE, isn't that very optimistic?
But yesterday I had a really bad day because at my safety school almost everyone was getting admit calls and I did not get the call, so when your ding is pending at the safety school you are not very optimistic about your dream school. And also, since I applied to 2 schools only I don't have much room for dings
