Any idea/trends on how hard it is to get off the waitlist at Tuck?

Congrats to all the admits.

If their yield is any indication, then it should be a lot easier compared to other schools. I think their yield is less than 60%.

I think they take yield into consideration when making offers.

If a school has a yield of 50% for a class of 100, they'd likely make 200 offers. I don't think yield has much impact on how easy it is to get off the waitlist.

Are there any January round people here? They're releasing decisions on Friday. Good luck to all of you.

Surprised no one has posted today (maybe that's a good sign!!). there were 5 or so acceptances mentioned in the BW forum, but nothing here. Anyone hear anything?

I'm withdrawing, decided it's going to be Ross or bust but I'll make that decision after GBR.

Yup, I applied January Round - no word today though :( It was surprising to see so little activity on the BW forum, perhaps more admit calls will go out tomorrow?

Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Heard from tuck today. Knew i didn't get in b/c i received no call, so i was happy to hear i'm on the waitlist. that's another school on the waitlist for (Duke too). man, i hope Darden is an acceptance.

Unfortunately the FAQ Tuck provided gave little information on what the applicant can do -- meaning, do they accept another recommendation, a letter stating recent accomplishments? etc....

For those of you who are looking at Tuck and thinking about the social scene, Tuck students are starting to hold cocktail parties with some of the undergraduate sororities, which have been pretty well attended.

Granted, most of the girls are still 20 or so, but nevertheless.

Just thought I'd put that out there.

Hi I am waitlisted at Tuck - I was asked by admissions to improve my GMAT score (which obviously wouldn't guarantee admission but perhaps would improve my chances). I have taken GMAT twice since then and my score has not improved. I think I need solid 3-4 months preparation to be able to improve my score, which I don't think I have and honestly I have lost the courage to sit in that exam again and face 600s. My current best score is 680 which is below Tuck's average but within their 80% range. I want to basically find out whether my chances of getting off the waitlist have now dropped to zero or is there anything I could do besides GMAT to improve my chances. I took the GMAT yesterday and I am yet to inform the admissions committee, I am also wondering what would be the best way to communicate the current situation to them? I will really appreciate your feedback!!! Thanks!
