I have been schedules for an interview with UC Irvine - Paul Mearge School of business. Can someone guide me on the interview questions and how to prepare for a phone interview?

The questions were pretty standard. Why MBA, why now, why Merage, a leadership, a challenging team situation example, so on and so forth. According to me, it's hard to bring forth one's personality during a phone interview, so it's important to personalize the interview as much as possible. Maybe a little bit of well-timed humor should help. Hope this helps!

It was great. Campus was quiet because people are on break. Had some time with a current student and he answered all my questions. Interview took 45 min including my long list of questions, standard MBA interview questions. No tricks. Very friendly and a beautiful campus. I was told that I'd have a decision by mid-January.

When I got back home to LA, I got my admission packet to University of San Fran!

I have received an Interview invite from Merage this morning. Would be taking a phone interview since I can not travel :( .. But I am very excited about it! Anyone who has taken a telephonic interview please come forward .. would like to know how did it go ..

Yes, got a partial fellowship offer and they called me on the phone to let me know the same time that they let me know I got in.
I was one of the first people to interview, so I'd guess I got an earlier response? PM me if you have any questions or need more info.

Did a phone interview on the 20th with the assistant Dean.
The questions were standard [typical why questions]. Since Merage interviews are fully informed as opposed to blind, you have to be able to explain things not on your application like general background, employment gaps, and your stories, and convince the interviewer that you are really interested in its program by going beyond what you already mentioned in your essays.
