Question. I know this has probably been asked before.
How big is UCLA's waitlist pool. Can't find much info.
The gmatcat site says they let in 61 people last year.

Businessweek says they let in 148 waitlisters out of 538 in 2009. ->https://www.businessweek.com/bschools/rankings/full_time_mba_profiles/ucla.html

However, if you notice all comments by UCLA admissions they say that " the #s can vary a lot every year and past year's #s are not a good indicator for the future year".

i got my wl confirmation on the 19th. same day round 3 decisions were released. still no word. wonder when the calls will start or if they've already been made today...

MJ Shores twitter post says "#UCLA #Anderson #MBA will admit a small, but exceptional, batch of admits tomorrow am".

I'm assuming she was talking about PST :)

I wanna start drinking. Applied R3 right at the deadline, so if anything, I can reapply R1 at a normal pace.
Do they favor waitlisters who reapply or does it count for jack?

I got my confirmation email for the waitlist on the 19th and replied to it a few days later when I knew what to say. Didn't know we were supposed to reply to the message.

MJShores hasn't tweeted anything new since her last post. It's past the AM in West Coast. Now what?

The last post from her says -> "some decisions will be released tomorrow (Wed) and a few on Thurs"

Now if one weighs the words some and few one would realize that, few feels significantly lower in # than some. So there is that thin sliver of hope for Thursday( obviously one has to have THAT unbridled optimism) :).

can't help but hope. every time my phone rings, my heart jumps but so far, no one from admissions. can only assume that today's invites have come and gone since it's past am on the west coast. perhaps tomorrow...

what wait list reconfirmation msg did you guys get?

Mine was just about they were going to release waitlist people this middle of the week.

didn't know we were suppose to reply.

hate this long wait.

There was an email on the 13th asking to reply if still interested, and then an update on the 19th when the R3 decisions came out, saying some WL admits will be notified this week. I didn't reply to the email on the 19th - it didn't mention anything about that. I believe the 19th email probably went to everyone who confirmed back to the 13th email.

Obviously, we're way past the morning now. I guess we can hope they got delayed, and didn't release any admits yet today. It seems unlikely that they would have released a batch, and no one on GMAT Club or on BW got admitted... though, it's not impossible.
