it's been only two weeks since i submitted my application so i'm not too worried.
i'm sure everyone'll get some kind of interview invite in a couple weeks.

Wow thats a pretty quick and impressive turnaround considering the published decision date is June 1st. This is only going to add to my anxiety as I now frantically check for emails constantly for an entire month.

I'm usually not one to over-analyze these things, but the message was updated today on the application site:

Your application is complete for committee review and will have a decision released by the publish date for your round.

The decision release part is new. Anyone else have that? Shouldn't we still expect interview invites or dings in the next week or so? I presume they would not wait to ding someone until June 1st or accept anyone without an interview.

So what happened in the last round was that your status would change and then you would receive an interview invite within the next day or so or nothing would happen (not sure what happened to those applicants).

But also in previous rounds, UCLA started releasing decisions on the 2 wednesdays before the date for that round (June 1 here). The decisions are released at 4 AM PST. So unless they changed the way they do things or handle waitlist applicants differently, thats what I would expect.

As far as I can remember, my app status said "Your application is complete for committee review and will have a decision released by the publish date for your round." from the moment I submitted it, so I am not sure it is a reliable indicator.

I submitted my app on 3/30 and interviewed on campus (with a 2nd year student) last Thursday 4/21.
Now waiting for the decision...

I got an interview invite email this afternoon. My status changed (as per Homer's post) earlier today. I submitted my app around five days before the deadline for round 3.

This is supposed to be sent two to four weeks after the receive all of your admission documents.
