Thanks. As an FYI I too recieved an 'early' admit with a full scholarship.
I have a tough decision to make as I've also been accepted to a top 7-8 school. I absolutely loved UNC. I had an infomative visit when I interviewed and people went out of their way to introduce me to the right students, staff and faculty. And I thought the facilities were top notch. I think I could really succeed in that kind of environment.
But I'm hoping to get into investment managment (hedge funds, pe or big money managment institutions) and I've got to think the higher rank would take me further initially. That said in my limited experience talking to people in this area it seems as though the contacts you or the school determine placement more than the actual school pedigree. Not to mention that UNC generally has some famous alumni in investment management. you guys have any thoughts?
