Anyone else get invites this week? I called the office and they said that "most of the invites had gone out". However, they did also say that there are still some being reviewed and sent out. For those that didn't get an invite yet what does your application status say?

Mine says "We are reviewing your application."

If they've sent out 'most' of the invites, that would be disappointing! My application status also still says "We are reviewing your application."

You should call them and get an appointment.

TXLA
how long did it take for the school to confirm an interview time and date? I got my interview invite on 2/24 and responded the same day with my availability but I haven't heard a confirmation back from them. I'm sure they are busy but I'm just wondering what the typical turnaround time is so I know when I should follow up with them.

I have not received received any invite yet and seems like most R2 invites are out :x

I did receive a mail today from a Diana, saying that my profile has been identified for iBEAR program and I should reply if interested. :?
Any thoughts on whats going on? I applied only to the 2yr FT mba program.

I am not sure what is going on, but I just got the same email from Diana for the iBEAR program as well. (I've not got my interview request either) I am still uncertain if I want to attend an accelerated program. Does anyone know if I'll still considered for the 2yr FT program?

Hey everyone - I have a administrative question for USC.

I looked back through this post at the R1 notification date of Feb 1, and noticed that most everyone who was waiting for a response got one either 2/1 or 2/2 (accept, reject, or WL). My question is, do the lions share (99%) of final decisions/notifications in fact go out on the stated date(s)? or does it drag out a few days to weeks? Looking at the R2 notification date of 4/1 here...

I ask because there are a couple of deadlines for other programs and obviously the notice I would need to give at work. USC is the priority, but I don't want to commit to another program (whose due date is before the USC notification date), deposit, then have the "good" problem of getting accepted to USC - forfeiting my deposit at the other program (several thousand $$$) - does this make sense? I am sure I am not alone in this regard with overlapping notification/accept by and commit dates.

I have heard of most programs being generous on commit date extensions, which is the route I might go here...

Any insights?

Does anyone know how to determine who will be interviewing with Admission officer or 2nd year student? Any difference in between?

I interviewed this past Saturday with a 2nd year student...it was actually my first interview with a current student. It was pretty cool to get the perspective of someone that's actually going through the program, and I felt like I got a lot more insight into what to expect at Marshall (IF I get accepted).

It was probably the most laid-back interview I've had thus far. But then again, it is SoCal...what do you expect...

If you come on a Saturday you've got an opportunity to be interviewed by a second year, otherwise it's all admissions officers (at least that has been true so far).

Unfortunately we don't have direct visibility into Admissions practices or decisions. I think it's a problem that a number of us faced last year as well, whether it was USC or another school that had somewhat conflicting deadlines. It may take a couple days after the notification deadline to get the news, but I think it just comes with the territory of reviewing thousands of applications and notifying all of them of decisions in a short timeframe.

Thought as much. Thanks for the heads up!
