Hi guys,

International student from London here, got an admit offer earlier in the month and reviewing my binder. Also managed to get a bit of time off work and a flight so will be able to make it to the admit weekend which I am looking forward to. Hopefully see some of you there. Its a shame its after Coachella but at least I can watch that online!

Has anyone got their welcome website log in details yet. I hear its coming in an email but haven't seen it yet.

Thanks!

Is the fellowship offer written on a separate letter or is it indicated on the acceptance letter?

Just curious because the papers in my binder were messy and my admission letter was in an envelope that wasn't sealed. I was also hoping for any form of $$ lol

Congratulations on the admits and fellowships! It really looks like GMATClubbers are cleaning up this year!

Just a brief update from Troy. Admit Weekend is gearing up to be a fantastic time! I hope you're all ready to have a blast and experience a taste of life at USC Marshall.

This weekend 9 west coast schools traveled to Stanford GSB for our yearly Challenge 4 Charity (C4C) https://challenge4charity.com/ weekend. If you're unaware of C4C, it "is a 28-year-old non-profit organization started at Stanford University that now boasts chapters at nine top West Coast MBA programs. The purpose of this organization is as simple as it is important: to develop future business leaders with a lifelong commitment to community involvement and social responsibility."

"The 2011-12 MBA Challenge for Charity enters its 28th year in which top West Coast MBA programs will compete in fundraising, social, volunteer, and athletic events in pursuit of the coveted ‘Golden Briefcase.’"

After an epic battle over sports, volunteer hours, and fundraising, I'm proud to say that the Golden Briefcase remains at its rightful place in USC Marshall for the third consecutive year. Looking forward to welcoming the incoming class to our ranks and continuing the dynasty! 8-)

My fellowship offer was in an unsealed envelope that was in the front of the binder (I think)...

Thanks. Was it separate from the admit letter?

The breakfast at the Student Center is pretty decent (not great).

USC is a relatively small campus - ask somebody - you will be able to walk to it. It's next to Tommy the Trojan statue.

Just signed up on GMATCLUB.

I'm a Round 3 applicant and just scheduled an interview. I'm not sure if this question has been answered, but how many will USC Marshall accept FT applicants from round 3? Also, since I got an interview invite, what are my chances now of getting accepted?

I toured the campus and it looks very lively. Everyone there is receptive.

I saw that this morning. I did my undergrad at SC and didn't feel unsafe, but that may have been more about my youthful naivete than it was about the safety of the neighborhood. This happened a 5 minute walk away from where I lived during my senior year.

Be careful where you guys decide to live.

https://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2 ... ampus.html

Yeah, sounds like a lot of undergrads I know live around that area. Pretty scary. The kid was driving a 60k 3-series!

STFU and get your facts straight.

1. It was a used 04 3 series he bought for $8k.
2. Shares a room in a modest home.
3. Neighborhood where it occurred is not typical of "South LA violence."

For the most part, University Park and West Adams is pretty chill, filled with mostly undergrads and families. Granted gangs are part of LA life but nothing that anyone lives in fear. Usually it's petty things which both USC DPS and LAPD work constantly at. This is an extremely tragic story and it's just a reminder to never be aloof, regardless of location or time.
