Congrats to all the admits. Great to see a bigger Wharton community for the 2008 class. I hope that most/all of you will make it to the Welcome weekend. From what I heard of the last event, it was a blast.
Goodluck with the WLs and the dings. I hope there are other great schools that you can puruse your MBA with.
I would love to meet the GMATclubbers who make it for the welcome weekend. So I recommed that you pm me if you plan to attend and we can start an email thread.
TO DATE: Applied: 49 Accepted: 5 (10%) Rejected: 29 (60%) - that's incredible. I heard apps were up, but this is insane. Waitlisted: 5 (10%) Unknown: 10 (20%)
PLEASE ADD/CORRECT AS NEEDED! UPDATED TO REFLECT ACEMAN'S WAITLIST. HOPE TO SEE YOU IN THE FALL!
Congrats to everyone who made it and good luck to everyone on the WL. If you do get a chance go to to the welcome weekend it's a blast, you get to know a lot of your future classmates plus you'll get an idea of the campus and where to live.

Admits, I need a favor. Will somebody volunteer to take a look at my app and give some feedback as to what might have been the weakest part of my app, except obviously being Indian IT Male. I was one of the R2 applicants who got dinged without an interview and might apply again next year. I have already requested for a feedback from Wharton but thats pretty random, so was hoping some of you might pm me and I can send you my essays etc to get some feedback. Thanks a ton, Vivek

DJM, congrats on W. I can only envy and learn frm you...in fact, I'd appreciate if u look at my essays to see where i fell short.
got an interview, got dinged, got W on my mind. may i pm you?
Congratulations to all the admit! I have been a lurker and following most of the regular posters here since August last year. Was invited by Wharton for an interview in R2 and dinged a few days back. I intend to reapply this year or next. Not yet decided, however I intend to be a regular poster on this forum. Best of luck to all the WLs too and hope all applicants hang around to help future applicants.

Hey guys, thanks for all the well wishes...I don't think it's still hit me yet. I'm really excited to meet some of you in July (can't believe how soon it is!).
For those of you who attended Winter Welcome, where did you end of staying? In a hotel or with a student? When I registered for the upcoming welcome weekend, I requested staying with a student but I'm not sure if they will definitely be able to set me up with one due to the large # of attendees. Since I won't know for sure for at least a week, can someone share what they did for accommodations? Thanks!!
Kalia, very few prospectives ended up finding student hosts during Winter Welcome. I registered 6 hours after getting my acceptance letter but still didn't get a host
I shared a room with another Boston-area admit at the Sheraton Center City, which was pretty nice and centrally located. Most admits stayed at hotels in Center City and ended up walking or cabbing it (it was cold that weekend) to and from campus. Most Wharton students end up living in Center City anyway, so it was nice to get a feel for that part of town.
Thanks Terry! That's really helpful. I guess I will book a hotel and can always cancel if I get placed with a host. Also, what was your experience like at Winter Welcome? Did you have fun? I'm really looking forward to it!
