Congrats to UT and sudden on your interview invites!

Wizard and everyone else- try not to stress too much yet. Wharton really does send off most of the invites in the last few weeks of the process, and a fair number go out on the last day. It's just a matter of when they get around to giving your application the required second review. Talking to some of the other admits, time to interview invite really doesn't appear to correlate with chances of admission.

And FYI... DIP stands for dedicated interview period. The vast majority of summer internship interviews are conducted during this week, including almost all (I think) IB and MC interviews. So yeah, a pretty stressful/busy time :-D

Thanks, Terry. It sure helps to be on this Forum since you all come to soothe some of our anxiety that creeped in ever since the submission of the application. Anyway, Its good to know what DIP stands for.

Waiting openly for some Wharton love too...
Though I personally know someone who got an invite 3 days before the deadline and got in.
Just try not to kill yourself with frustrations.

When I was preparing my app, I kept thinking what do these guys on gmatclub mean by pant-pooping? I was sure I would never feel any such thing after I applied. Well, I was wrong. I now know exactly what the pant-pooping threads meant. Hitting on F5 constantly waiting for an email from Admissions........

I know lot of folks have advised not to worry too much once we have submitted our application and just relax until we get an interview. But, I have tried doing that with no avail. Also currently not much to do at work. Projects are going slow and plenty of time to kill at work. So what do I do to keep me occupied...our friendly club, wharton s2s, online app status every...guess need some anxiety pills to control my anxiety. I couldn't occupy myself with anything else. iWaiting for interview is the only interesting issue going on in my life right now....Oh! well...

Of course. It's always nice to hear stuff like that. Afraid it doesn't mean I will chew my nails any less...

Interview Tip:
Before your interview, research about your interviewer at LinkedIn.com using first name and last name.

That has helped me immensely.

(If anyone needs an invitation, just send me a PM with your email address)

Just to add to this: I believe you can see who has checked your profile on Linkedin. You need to make sure that your setting is set to the right one.

So make sure the setting is "Don’t show users that I’ve viewed their profile". This way your interviewer wont know that you checked his/her profile out. I am not sure how they would take it if they know that you were snooping around their linkedin profile.

Nupur, I totally agree with you that it is a very good idea to use LinkedIn before sitting down for an interview. When I had a MIT campus visit, I was assigned a guide ahead of time and luckily I checked him out on LinkedIn. Boy! I tell you. He was very impressed about how prepared I was when I met him..I kinda had a good understanding of what his background was so I came across sounding like someone who is familiar with his past..I think he liked that..

I had made up my mind this morning that I wouldn't look log in to my Wharton account or the GMATClub until the 22nd of Feb...well...so much for that idea! :-D Yes, anxiety is a terrible thing! :?

Congratulations to UT and sudden for receiving your interview invites! I hope that you're able celebrate in style - I'm a firm believer in celebrating the milestones along the way, and not just reaching the final destination! Actually, I'm a firm believer in celebrating full-stop!

To UT or sudden: Did you receive an e-mail notifying of you of your interview, or did you have to log in to your Wharton account? I'm hoping it's the former...otherwise I'm going to be a nervous wreck within no time!
