To anyone who interviewed today,
Please could you provide a broad overview of things went today? Were interviews similar in structure to Round 1?
Thanks

It definitely would be nice to know if the behavioral questions are being pulled from the same set. But I don't remember seeing anyone on this thread who said they would be interviewing early in the week though - so if we hear anything, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I saw few people repeatedly mentioned the 6 Wharton interview questions. Does anyone know what are the 6 questions? I found 3 common behavioral questions from ClearAdmit:

1. Tell me about a time when you worked in a group to complete a task, which required you to consider the opinions or feelings of others.
2. Describe a time when you contributed to a team that didn't have a clear or appointed leader.
3. Explain a time when your ideas were challenged, when you had to defend your opinion and/or approach.

Anyone who could kindly help complete the above list? Or are the other 3 simply (1) resume walk-through, (2) why Wharton, and (3) why now?

Thanks!!

can the resume sent to the interviewer be different than the resume submitted with the app?

Does the admin committee also keep the resume sent to interviewer on file and compare it with the original?

My most up to date resume needs to have some changes..

You can definitely send a different resume as long as it only includes relevant updates since the time you submitted your application. Making major changes might be risky.

However, I don't think your resume is relevant for the interview. The interviewer will grade you solely on the basis of your response to the 3 questions asked.

Its interesting that Whartons admit weekend has only 212 attendees in R1 for a class size of 800+, while schools with smaller classes has a bigger admit weekend. Kellogg for example had over 250 attendees for a class of 550. Still, it's Wharton's largest R1 admit weekend in history. I wonder why that is?

Im very interested in this as well...my initial thought was wow they probably took well less than 400 people because its hard for me to believe that only 50% showed up. But at the same time the fact that it was the largest showing in years is confusing so I am not exactly sure what to make of this.

Here's the quote from the article - other interesting pieces of info as well!

Quote:
The numbers alone highlight the significance of this year's Winter Welcome. The 212 prospective students in attendance represented an impressive 43% increase over last year's figures. Notably, female admits had a particularly strong showing at this year's event, comprising 57% of attendees compared to 40% a year ago. Attendance among partners was equally as impressive, nearly doubling from 33 in 2010 to 60 in 2011.

Quote:
The Winter Welcome Weekend has undoubtedly set a high bar for the spring event, scheduled for April 15-16. Historically, Spring Welcome Weekend receives more than double the number of winter registrants, which means the Welcome Committee members can expect to have their hands full.

I wonder if the statistic about female attendees is indicative of a wider trend across the applicant pool at Wharton this year.

Don't forget that ~40% of the class is made up of internationals, who are unlikely to attend R1 admit weekends in droves. So its more like 70-80% of the domestic admits showed up, imo.

I think part of this is yield...while there were lots of Wharton admits (including me) at the WWWW who are set on Wharton, the weekends are often used to decide between schools someone got into. Wharton might have a higher percentage of people who are sure of their choice without going to visit (i.e. higher yield) than some of the other school. Also, I've heard from alumni that the spring weekend is a much bigger event then the winter weekend...not sure I'd read anything into the number that attended...

Question to ME based applicants who have received an invite: Where are you planning on interviewing - Hub or Alumni? A quick city search didnt reveal any UAE based alumni interviewers and I was wondering if it was worth the trek to Paris?

I'm surprised there are no interviewers because there are a ton of alums in the UAE.

There should be cities closer to you than Paris that have alumni interviewers, if you don't want to travel that far.

Guys, can you please indicate how many interview slots are left? I'm just trying to figure out how many invites we can expect on Friday - any ideas!? Tx!
