I'm just going to stick with one of my old suits. I'll make sure it's nice and tidy and wrinkle-free.

The last thing b-schools are looking for is the price-tag on your suit. As long as you are comfortable in your element (don't dress up in a hoddie) you're just fine. They're betting on people, not clothes.

With that said, if you're comfortable in rags and dirty shoes, they're probably not gonna bet on you. A lot comes down to how one carries him / herself.

$750 for a bespoke suit is an amazing deal if you're in the US. That sounds like an off the rack price including hemming and some small alterations.

Yeah its definitely not bespoke! Its off the rack but "made to fit."

Suits do not matter, they do not increase your chance of being admitted: zero impact. Wear your work suit, make sure you are clean and neat - that's all.

If I were you, I would spend money on visiting the school, i.e. the best interview prep in the world, instead.

Kudos Xerox! I wish I could give you a 1000 Kudos for this one message!

The 'Round 1: Complete'? That, to me, means everything is in order.

A current student might be able to provide the best links but this is what I've come up with in my own research:

https://www.wharton.upenn.edu/mbaresource/courseindex/

You can also play around to find concentration specific sites such as this:

First post in this thread, and I don't mean to continue down the tangent, but just one last thing regarding suits. I don't think price tag is important, but for gods sakes get it tailored. Attention to detail says a lot about a person. I was once dinged from an internship because I forgot to label one of the axes on a graph I made (during an interview test)...the reason..."you showed a lack of a attention to detail". Lesson learned.

Anyway, I'll be applying RD2

GPA 3.2 top 3 pub (humanities), GRAD 3.7 (ivy), 3.5 years real estate dev and solar industry, post mba social enterprise (my master's is related), GMAT dec. 16., AGE: 28

I don't think it needs to be tailored, just so long as you feel comfortable and confident in it.

But good luck with R2! I also work in real estate as well, so I definitely want to wish good luck to a fellow RE guy.
