Just curious, is anyone thinking of applying to Round 3. Anyone have an suggestions if its worth applying or not? Good luck to everyone early waiting for ROund 2
From everything I've heard, R3 is only worthwhile if you are a STELLAR candidate without any obvious weaknesses (high GMAT, high GPA, good and/or unique work experience, great recommendations, what you think are really compelling essays).
Unless, for some reason, you have an extenuating circumstance that stopped you from applying R1 or R2 (e.g., military duty, sickness, family emergency), I don't think it's a great idea to apply unless you think you are super super competitive as a candidate and even then you have less of a shot than you would in other rounds, I would guess. Otherwise, it's a lot of pain and waiting and $$ to go through the process for nil, especially if you don't get in and would want to reapply in the fall--there won't be much time between your 1st app and your reapplication to "build your case" for why you're a better candidate now.
Those are my 2 cents, others may disagree.
