hm2009 how long do you plan to wait for the interviewer to respond before you will contact other person. I tried 2 so far no luck either.

I waited 48 hrs before moving on. 24 hours into the second trial. The rest of the people in my city are either super-senior (1998 passout, etc) or in very different industry. So this is getting to be a problem.

Opinions from others? Do you think it's okay to send reminder to person-1 before moving on to person-2?

man... this wait if really horrible.

I know the official deadline is tomorrow but it's hard to believe that they are going to send out *that* many invites just in one day.

Hard to "hang in there"....

Does it matter how early/late we do the interview?

Does Wharton do rolling acceptances, like NYU, or can I schedule a late interview and be on equal footing with others?

just got an invite!
any tips from people who have had interviews already?

i found that mock interviews were the most helpful -with family, friends and a couple of consultants - i also recorded myself on a webcam and replayed. i wrote down my answers to the most obvious questions and went over them a few times.

i only applied to 2 schools and this is the only year i can do an MBA for family reasons so i went all the way and did a mock interview with Accepted.com and the essay critique blog https://essaycritique.blogspot.com

call me crazy but i'm desperate!!

Just to confirm my pessimism about not being invited:

Assuming one accidentally deletes the email regarding the invite:

Where do you log in to see if you've been invited? MyWhatron MBA or the applyyourself page (or both)?

Either is fine. It should say something like the following:

Jivana, its odd but on both MyWharton and the application I saw "Your Decision is Available" as a link to take me to the interview info - not "Invited to Interview".

My fat lady has high capacity lungs, so when she sings, it pours for an extended period of time.

Is wharton known to send interview invites on D-day? or, does it reserve the day to only hand out ding letters?

What happens if no slots for an on-campus interview open up? What do I do - email them? I really don't want to do an alum iw.

Hi friends,

Need some advice here.

Got the interview invite on Valentine's Day (great way to show love!). I'm based in Malaysia and the only hub slot open by the time it rolled to me was Beijing (Shanghai and HK were filled, even though the dates and location are more suitable). I completely did not explore Alumni interviews, which could potentially be MUCH closer to here and 1500 bucks cheaper, not to much mention potentially more useful!

Unfortunately the problem is this - to prevent selfish/indecisive/endlessly optimising people (like me) from changing their minds, I cannot check on alternate locations/times/alumni availability once I have scheduled an interview.

If I want to check, it means I need to cancel my current booking, which means I could lose it and have to go somewhere really far away if there are no alumni available etc.

Any ideas how to proceed? Write to adcom to check (will they blackball me for being an idiot?)? Take the risk to check and have someone take the time slot in the 5 minutes? (highly possible).

Thanks in advance.

I think your Valentine should continue and therefore celebrate further your luck with the interview - why not fly to an exotic place to have the interview

I suggest you contact Adcom and ask them whether there are any other alternatives - Good luck
