I wonder if you are referring to the "Penn Alumni" email I got earlier this evening. I don't know why I get these emails considering I never signed up for anything like this and am not a Penn Alumni (nor does it look like I will be one!). To be honest I know there is still a day or two, but I will be kind of surprised if I do not get one...really goes to show you never know what these schools are looking for as I thought I was a strong applicant and had some really good and unique essays. I guess I must have screwed something up though!
Herm3s: I feel you. I feel like I submitted a strong application as well, i was hoping to get at least an interview. you really just never know i guess.
For those who have received an invite, has anyone had any trouble when selecting the Alumni interview option and fielding the 3 names to contact? I've tried a few times already for New York City and I get 0 options, which I find hard to believe because, well, it's NYC. Anyone have suggestions? I've already contacted AdCom, but still awaiting a response.
Got an interview invite!!! On literally the last #@$(% (ok, almost last) day. Oh, Wharton, you like to play cruel games with me...
My stats: 25, Russian, 5y WE, 2y: E&Y, PwC - audit/valuation consulting. 1y - IB in a Russian top (so completely unknown outside Russia ) bank, 2y - Private/Public equity investments in a North American fund. Anyone from Toronto here willing to meet up and practice?
Does anyone know the average percentage of people invited to interview?
Given a 16% average acceptance rate and that, on average there are 2 people who are invited to interview per seat available, I estimate 35% of total applicants are invited to interview. Am I in the ball park?
