Count me in as well. The high number of admits who got into H/S
leads me to believe there is some yield management at work here which could be promising. Just sitting tight.

Hey everyone!

I'm a R2 W/L as well.

So it seems like there are a lot more waitlisted applicants this year compared to previous years. Is that right? I'm wondering why Wharton would keep so many students on W/L - there's no way they can admit so many students. Anyone have any ideas on what the adcom was/is thinking?

Hi all.
I tried to stay away from the online forums to minimize my anxiety as many of my friends recommended, but I finally had to get out of my shell after this Friday.

Please add me to the R2 roll call.
Waitlisted.... :?

I thought the acceptance rate after interview was approximately 50%, and I'm really surprised to see 17/82 < 21% acceptance rate after interviews.
I understand that the sample size is not sufficient to draw an overall conclusion from what I see on GMAT Club and I also understand that not everyone posts their admissions results.
However, I thought that people on GMAT Club tend to receive better results than the general population.

Is this year's waitlist much longer than the previous years? Or is it just me and/or few others who feel this way? Any insights? Thanks and good luck to all those who are still waiting and congrats to those admitted!

Ding... And question:
Is everyone dinged getting the same message as mine in below OR Is this just for ones who got a positive interview report?
THX

Quote:
"We greatly respect the energy and thought that went into your application and would like to thank you for taking the time to interview with a member of the Wharton community. Each year our staff and alumni interviewers tell us how humbled they are by the accomplishments of the applicants they meet. These impressions are valued by the Committee; however, due to the holistic nature of our process, the interview results are never the sole basis for our final decision. After your interview, several members of the Admissions Committee re-evaluated your application before a final decision was made. "

First of all CONGRATS for all the admitted students!!!!

I have a question for waitlisted applicants. Did you all receive 2 mails from the admissions committee yesterday:

-one about ' Waitlist guidelines'
-15 minutes later, a second one about 'Find out more about Wharton in the Middle East' from mbaoperations

Just wondering if i am the only one who received the second email...

Thanks a lot in advance
