Sorry for the late response - I am R1 waitlister that got re-waitlisted. Quite frustrating not to have an answer after 6 months, but I am in at Tuck with $$ so I think its time to go out and buy a nice warm jacket and call it a day...
What's the deadline for R1 & R2 admits to put in their deposits and confirm their W acceptance?
April 29th at 5PM EST.
Thanks RonMexico.
BTW. Congrats on the admits, very impressive!

Hang in there on the waitlist - I too subscribe to the theory that it has become the "super round 3", and lots of people on this board are getting in. If you need any info that is not easily available on the generic website, please PM me.
Sorry about the people in the WL. I can not imagine how tough it would be to be wait-listed. I read on the Booth thread about some kid who really worked the wait list very well and ended accepted. It may help you checking it out.
I am in with $$. I will definitely take their offer.
admitted r2 w/ $$$ - anyone know how the fellowships work? i have corporate sponsorship (they pay my full tuition) and i'm afraid i won't be able to use towards living expenses. also, fyi i did not answer any of the fellowship essays so was very surprised to receive anything.
congrats to all other admits!

I am in the exact same spot as you. I think you will have to work this out with your company, with my guess being that your company adjusts what they are paying based on your fellowship. I find it hard to imagine any situation where you end up making money off attending business school.

most companies pay tuition and fees, and your fellowship money is (more than likely) awarded to that portion of your costs. if you got $20k/yr in grant money, instead of your employer having to pay the full $50k in tuition, they will just pay the portion that is left after subtracting your fellowship money (i.e. $30k/yr).
This topic maybe in a different thread. But do you know where most MBA students end up living in Phili? I have not checked out the admit site yet, it is probably there.
I went to Penn for undergrad and from what I gathered most of the MBAs lived in/around Center City. Plenty of nice options, a great mini-manhattan sort of neighborhood, and easy to get to the Penn campus via bus, subway, or if it's a nice day and you've got the time, you could walk it in 20 mins...
It looks like the waitlist thread has been merged with this one. I found this today, from 2 years ago when Wharton was already following the do-not-contact waitlist policy:
Is it possible to classify the current WaitList under US nationals and Internationals categories? B'cos traditionally R3 applicants are mostly America Citizens. It would be interesting to see the % of international candidates that have been WL'ed!

Yeah the main concern is that they take away the fellowship if I'm corporate sponsored. If they don't take it away, my company will actually just cut me a check for the amount of the fellowship, which would obviously be ideal... trying to figure out from wharton now, but just wondering if anyone else was in the same boat.

Man, I wish I had your problem. I'm coming from non-profit, filled out the fellowship essays, and alas: no assistance. You are a fortunate fellow. If you're talking to the adcom now, kindly put in a good word for me? You are evidently quite persuasive!

Thanks RonMexico, I might actually take you up on the offer.
