i'm going to have to re-ask the question, anyone know of an online calculus course that won't cost $700
UCLA Extension - cost: 550$. Not cheap, but not 700 either. Try local community colleges if you want to get away with 300$ odd.
I originally took a class at a community college and I'm unsure as to why they won't count it as meeting the pre-requisite

Yeah I'm not sure what I'm going to do about calculus either...Some people I know at Wharton have said you don't actually have to take it and that reviewing some Calculus books would be helpful. I haven't taken Calc since senior year of high school. I don't know how I feel about that though, and I'm thinking of taking Business Applications of Calculus through UCLA Extension which starts April 21 and continues through June 16 and is only $395...The Intro to Calc online class started last night through UCLA, so I missed the ball on that one

Unfortunately, I don't think I have a choice, it's a condition on my offer. I guess I'm supposed to be made from money, especially as I am now embarking upon digging myself into debt

Oh, I get it. Yeah I think it's because I work in a heavily quantitative field. Luckily you got a fellowship, which should help you out with the debt issue. And as everyone who has done this before tries to remind me--in the grand scheme of things <$1000 is not that much, particularly if it results in you getting a great education at a school like Wharton. Easy for them to say, I realize, but I have to keep reminding myself of that.
The ding with interview to waitlist ratio is < 60% and the admit to waitlist ratio is < 80% ... This is some interesting strategy the adcom is working on. Unless a bunch of people with interviews and dings haven't posted yet.
I posted this in the HBS thread, and I am posting it here as well. A little reminder as everyone is making decisions. If you have decided to pick another school over Wharton, please send an e-mail to the school, so they can plan ahead and give the spot to someone who had been waitlisted. This way you may be helping other deserving people from this forum and beyond who are hoping to get into their dream school!
