I don't think speculating on this topic really serves any purpose. I mean one can spin this in any way s/he likes but at the end it won't change one darn thing.

Personally, if it happens it will be great else....well let's just say I'm not holding my breath for this.

Yep I dunno :) I've applied to 6 schools in round 3 and gotten wildly different responses time-wise.

Got an Invite!!!!!

I had a horrible sinking feeling all day as the hours ticked by and no email. But then email saying status has been updated. I'm like damn just tell me already. So I have to log in to myWhartonMBA and am waiting and waiting while tha page loads and I finally see. You have been invited Interview!!!!!

Phew!

Now mad crazy interview prep begins...

I totally agree MBAGirl2010. I have not yet made my decision, as of now I'm actually leaning towards Wharton for a variety of reasons, but will definitely let the schools know as soon as my decision is made. I want to make this a fair and easy process for others.

Hi,
I am Sarah and I'm an International (Saudi Arabia) round 2 applicant I was interviewed and I'm on the waitlist, I got acceptance from two European schools (IMD and Imperial) but Wharton is my dream school.
So I'm hoping for the best...

Regarding deferred students, I know two Saudi admitted females who deferred thier courese to this year, I know that this fact alone is hurting my chances, as I dont think they need 3 Saudi females in one class... but I still am hoping...

FYI, I got confirmation from a current Wharton student who knows JJ well that the rumors are true; wharton did defer 100+ accepted students from last year to this year. I think that's why so many round 2 applicants were WLed. We'll see what happens.

This deferral thing is really unfair for this year's applicants. In order to accommodate for the deferrals, they accepted 100-200 more people than they normally would have last year, and this year they will accept 100-200 fewer. We're talking about 11-23% of the class size, which is quite a lot!

Thats only counting on no deferals for this year, which I doubt. I am sure a similar number will defer this year too.
