Did anyone read this in regards to the letter of support from a Wharton Alum?

https://engage.wharton.upenn.edu/MBA/forums/t/507.aspx

It's like they don't mind that you send in a letter of support, but then give you now details on how to do so...

Can you kindly let the folks who are still waiting know how many interview slots seem to be open? I know its kinda tricky with the alum interviews, but still a ballpark would be helpful.

Thanks!

is there a way to elaborate on how many were filled up. It just seems that if 50 are left, then there arent many left to go out!

Hmm, sorry I only searched open slots (not all slots). It wasnt 50 slots, but more than 50 (I stopped counting after 30 and estimated the rest based on where my scroller was).

Total speculation, but I really don't think you guys should give up hope yet. I am the first person I know to get an invite, and I know a lot of people who applied, all really qualified with high scores, great jobs, etc. I'd be shocked if there weren't many more invites to come.

Did any of your friends/acquaintainces get an invite?

For the past two years the percentage of GMATclub members who were invited to interview at Wharton has been >= 50%. Where in the world are all the invitations for this year :?

Ya..not hearing a lot on this forum oflate. In the meanwhile, given that there is not much time between when we get an invite and the interview, lets talk specific wharton related interview stuff. For example - what you guys think about choosing between hub interview, alum interview or on campus interview? Which one is preferable and why?

Since I have grappled with the choice of going to Philly vs. doing it in Toronto:

My two cents:

Alums can provide another loop into the process through feedback but are not the ultimate decision makers. Whereas it seems as though the AdCom would have more influence over the decisions themselves. Hence, in the interest of not wondering whether I should have spent the 600 bucks to go to Philly. I am just going to do it.

Is there anyone who submitted their application on 1st of October and has received an interview invite?

The better question might be, does anyone whose application went final (i.e., submission AND both rec's) on 10/1 have an interview invite? There's probably more people who fit that criteria than just people who submitted 10/1. I submitted 9/30 (no invite) but my last recommender submitted about 90 minutes before the deadline. I can't imagine they would bother to read an application before it was complete.
