Meanwhile, back in Booth R2 Application land:

my friend received this message:

Dear XXXXX XXXXX,

Your status has changed to "Complete". Your application under review by the admissions committee. Although your application is under review this does not mean that all "official" documents such as GMAT/TOEFL or official transcripts have been received. Please login to your application and check the printable status report to view all received items. A final decision can not be rendered without all official transcripts and score reports.

The University of Chicago Booth School of Business
Office of Admissions and Financial Aid
5807 South Woodlawn Avenue
Chicago, Illinois 60637
voice 773.702.7369 | Fax 773.702.9085

My status is still just "Received." Regardless, the school reported they will begin inviting as soon as next Wednesday. After so many long agonizing application processes, Booth's is very refreshing! For THREE other schools I did not hear one peep from them for over two months. And that was just the beginning. But here, in one month we will be dinged or have interviewed. So simple...

I went out with some people last night and I heard some funny stories about essays/ppt. I really hope none of you submitted those. Awful, so awful I almost didn't believe the stories.

I'd like too, but I feel it might be wrong to do so - these applicants I'm sure expect a little privacy. A laugh over drinks is one thing, posting it in a forum is another. That said, I'll just reiterate what I've always said: Keep your PPTs appropriate!

Why don't you take a picture of the thick traffic you have to sit through every morning?

Driving for 2.5 hours to travel 20 miles = Prestigious

Can anyone tell me what percentage of the total applicant pool actually gets an interview? And out of the ones interviewed - what percentage actually gets admitted?
Thanks

About 50% interview, about 50% from there admitted.

See BW: "Applicants who were accepted to the most recent class: 22 %"
