Can anyone tell me what percentage of the total applicant pool actually gets an interview? And out of the ones interviewed - what percentage actually gets admitted? Thanks
About 50% interview, about 50% from there admitted.
See BW: "Applicants who were accepted to the most recent class: 22 %"

I think that's pretty old data for Chicago. I read that they stopped reporting that number and it is from 2005, which was probably much higher. It should now be in par with Kellogg, Columbia and probably not too far from Wharton. Around the 16-18%. My guess, but I may be wrong
Yea, its probably in that area - I didn't bother to elaborate, cause it doesnt make much difference if its 15% or 20% odds -- its somewhere in that ballpark.
If I had to venture a guess, I'd go with approx 5000 applicants, roughly 50% interview, 2500 total, 60-70% yield for a class of 550, requiring approximately 785 to 915 admits - putting the odds between 16% and 18%.

Chicago actually published their numbers this year in the BW survey. It was 22% for the class of 2010. I assume they will see another big increase in applications this year, so I agree with Rhyme and I would guess that they drop in the 16-20% range.
If we get an interview invite from booth do we get to choose the date of the interview ? Say I want to interview on campus can i call and schedule the interview as soon as the results are out ? I have to go to chicago for the kellogg interview so I was wondering if I could do both booth and kellogg at the same time.

Any thoughts ?

Yes, if you get an interview invite, you schedule your interview date online and upload your resume for the interviewer. I had to change my interview date and it was a very flexible system.
The website says mid decision is Feb 18 .. how did you know they are going to start releasing the invites tomorrow ?

They sent an email to all R2 applicants about a week after the deadline. From the email:
Quote:
The Admissions Committee will begin to release interview invitations on Wednesday, January 21st and will continue this process through Wednesday, February 18th. Look for an email that asks you to check your status via the Online Application System. If your status reads Invite to Interview, the Admissions Committee believes an interview will help us further evaluate your admission credentials. We will provide detailed instructions on scheduling your interview.
If you do not receive an invitation to be interviewed by the mid-decision date (February 18), you will receive your final decision on that date.

I just got my interview invite at Booth. Booth has always been my #1 choice so I'm really excited...amazing how quickly great news can overcome a ding from HBS.

I was waiting for this! Excellent work and best of luck.
I know it's been discussed here before but I don't recall the consensus. Is it better to interview on campus? I already visited the campus once but I'll do it again if it increases my chances.

Official policy is that is has no bearing. I tend to agree with that. Especially if you already visited and can write about that in your essays.
