Invited to interview today. What a great feeling. After being dinged at Kellogg, I had started to think that I was way overreaching, and had begun to move on with next options for my future. I'm likely going to schedule my interview very soon.
My biggest concern about my profile is that I am a bit light on extracurriculars. Outside of a few hours of volunteer work each month, my life basically consists of working and trying to see my wife as much as possible. I think this came off very poorly during my interview at Kellogg- do any of you have any advice as to how to handle this differently? I think I may just explain how my current circumstances have made it difficult to get as involved as I would like to be, but X, Y, and Z are things that I want to get a lot more involved with at Booth.
Anyway, it is exciting to have this second chance, I really thought given my poor GMAT quant score, I would be a ding at Booth, but once I was able to visit a few times and talk to students, I came away with a much better understanding of the school, and a lot more respect for the "vibe".
Thanks to Cosimo and Philipp for their thoughts about the program, and the beers at LPF. Good times!
