Not going to lie. The wait this weekend will be the first time in the process that I anticipate being really nervous/anxious. I guess there is a chance some folks could still hear today sometime. Crossing my fingers...

Congrats guys! To anyone who has received an interview invite, are there any slots open on Wednesday 10/19?

I'm still holding out hope for the interview and am going to be in Chicago Tuesday and Wednesday, so hopefully I get an interview invite and can sign up for something wednesday morning.

Good luck to all of us still waiting. Looking at last year's thread the percentage of interview invites from GC was much higher than 50% so there should be more invites coming next week. I'm guessing the higher application volume has something to do with a larger number of invites coming out Monday-Tuesday of next week.

Congrats to everyone. I am glad they sent couple of invites today. At least some of us will be less stressed. For those waiting, don't despair. I know many friends with good profiles who have not yet received an invite.!

Quick question.
How many people (%) who get invited to interview actually get admitted? - specially for Chicago GSB -

I think that in a regular year, Chicago has a 20-25% acceptance rate, so if they are inviting 50% of applications, you are looking at roughly 1/2 chance.

Last year I would say the admission rate had to be in the 20% or slightly less range. If they get another increase similar to what many schools had last year then you are looking at mid teens. So yes a few years ago you had a 50% chance after an interview but if i would say it will probably be more in the 35 to 40% range now.
