Got an invite too!! Congrats to all.

What kind of resume are you uploading? Should I upload the one I used for my application or the one I would use for a job interview?

Thanks

I would upload the one you used on your app and add any new info you may want to share

Alright! finally it happened to me too....just saw "Congratulations" and my heart was like ....

I second mbagal2011 on help. Although I am a passive participant here, but, I have also benefited "A LOT" from their pointers/posts/tips/etc etc.

Moderator, do you mind putting my name under R1s...though it is a bit late, but not too late :P

Which date did you submit?

15/10 almost EOD

Wow, congratulations on all the invites today! I hope there's many acceptances for us. I am doing research on Chicago and the school is becoming one of highest choices, seems like an awesome place to do your MBA.

Are there any other re-applicants from PY that were waitlisted still waiting for an interview so far this year?

Sigity,

I'm in the same boat as you. Submitted R2 last year. Waitlisted on March 26th all the way through the summer. Applied R1 this year. Frankly, I think my app was much better this year and now I would have completed 4 yrs of WE by matriculation compared to the 3 i had last year. I'm just hoping they are reviewing the WL later and that I get an interview invite tomorrow.

I couldn't have been that bad that I don't get a interview this year after being WLed last year. Could I?

I agree - I thought my application was stronger this year, I also had two additional recs from GSB students/alums. My thought now is that adcom is asking themselves whether I have changed enough to jump off of the WL - I guess I will find out soon enough - if the invite doesn't come tomorrow, its not going to happen.

I'm sure the process is random, but last year, I had my R2 invite a week before the deadline (i just checked this, because I had thought it was much closer to the deadline...)

By the time everything is said and done, GMATclub will have an 80% or higher invite rate for R1. That is SICK.

Had an interview with an alum today. Hope this will help people who have interviews in the near future.

The atmosphere was very pleasant and the questions were very fair. He asked about my career progress, need for an MBA and particular interest in Booth. Whenever I strayed from the question (i do that sometimes) he politely steered me back on track. No surprise questions.

After the interview he asked if I had questions for him. He told me about his experience in Chicago and how amazing the alumni network is. I could really tell how passionate he is about the school.

He didn't really reveal anything about how well the interview went, and of course I didn't ask, but he did say things like "that sounds very exciting" or "interesting", so I think it went pretty well.

All in all, quite a pleasant experience and nothing to be afraid of.

I believe all alumni interviews are off campus interviews. On campus interviews are conducted by a second year.

Hi - it was off campus but I would imagine it was similar to other interviews.
