Yes, the chicago GSB invite doesn't seem to count for much, but come on. You only applied to Wharton and Columbia in R1/ED. And you are still in the running for CBS. What do you mean by R1 history? Its not like you were dinged at 10 schools. I am sure CBS/GSB/HBS will come through for you.

mNeo
But based on the R1 history, I don't think that an interview call at Chicago means that much anyway. :(

Oh c'mon mNeo, you do realize you've only applied to some of the toughest UE schools, right? :) You've done quite well to get an interview and W/L, compared to us "mortals" who only got into Elite schools. :P

i thought neo was referring to the high number of invites in r1 for gsb compared to admits

With interviews coming up, the above provides a good starting point for questions.
Since the dress code is business attire, does anyone have any detailed information about what's suitable for males/females?

mNeo you seem to be forgetting that all the mods are going to be in the city of Chicago next year. Seriously it feels like everyone of us that applied to GSB and/or Kellogg, got into one or the other. Its going to be the place to be next fall for gmatclubbers. We will have to get a bunch of get togethers and some friendly rivalries.

So if you look at that not just the interview to admit % then you are destined to get in.

Suit it up!

I wasn't sure either, beforehand...I wore one to my on-campus interview at the GSB, and I was glad I did. Everyone seemed to be in business formal. My line of thinking was that I'd rather be overdressed than underdressed. The 2nd year who interviewed me wore a suit, as well.

Is there any way of determining who my interviewer would be? I used the online system to schedule an on-campus interview. It just says "Invited to Interview" and the time. Does not give me any information about the interviewer.

Thanks irishfan for the quick response! Kudos!

Oh, my! Why didn't I reapply for K as well, to leverage my chances with the Chicago GSB??? :wall

Thanks guys! I know that a lot of you are rooting for me. But based on Chicago GSB's R1 history, I don't think that an interview call at Chicago means that much anyway. :(

For those who haven't received an invite yet, I am sure that a lot more of us are going to get interview calls. Just need to wait for a while (And I know that that's not easy .. knowing that others are getting interview calls all the time).

EDIT: Edited to clarify what I was saying :)
Congratulations mNeo! We are all pulling for you - that's fantastic...
