
That's true about the I-House. But the I-House also has 2 suites with attached baths etc. that are also available, but they're pretty popular with visiting faculty. The Quadrangle Club also has some nice rooms but they're generally sold out.
Stay at a proper hotel downtown and bus it to campus within 25 mins if you really want to be comfortable. The Hilton Towers on S. Michigan can often be had for $75 - $85 a night on Priceline.com or Hotwire.

Anyone who's been to interview have a good recommendation for hotels fairly near campus?
i stayed at international house on 2 occasions. its only a couple blocks from the bschool, but it is a pretty crummy place. very loud hallways and you will most likely have a communal bathroom. its cheap though, around $60-70/night.
