Just got an email from Chicago GSB with the following message -
Thank you for submitting your application to Chicago GSB and congratulations on completing this introspective and thought provoking process. Our goal is to be as transparent as possible; we hope the details below provide you with useful details regarding the processing and evaluation of your application.
Application Status
During the application cycle you will notice the status of your application changing at different points.
Submitted – Once an application is submitted by an applicant the status changes to “Submitted.” Edits by the applicant are no longer possible. Recommendations may still be submitted through October 24, 2007.
Received – Chicago GSB acknowledgement of submission- all applications will be in received status by October 23rd.
Complete – Complete applications have been reviewed by the operations team; all required information has been received and the file is ready for review by the Admissions Committee.
Please allow the Operations Team at least two weeks to complete the processing of all applications. You may contact us after Tuesday October 30, 2007 if your application status is not “Complete” to determine if we require additional materials.
Incomplete – All applicants with incomplete applications will be contacted via email. Applicants can check the Application Status screen in the online application to check what is missing.
Invite to Interview – The Admissions Committee believes an interview will help us further evaluate your admission credentials. Instructions will be provided in the online application system to all applicants invited to interview.
Decision – The Admissions Committee has made a decision regarding your application.
Interview Decisions
· The Admissions Committee will begin to release interview invitations on Wednesday, October 31st, and will continue this process through Wednesday November 14th.
· On November 14th all applicants not invited to interview will receive notification via the online application system that they have been denied admission to Chicago GSB for the Class of 2010.
Interview Process
· If you are invited to interview, you must complete your interview no later than Saturday, December 1, 2007.
· Interviews are available:
On campus with a Graduate Assistant. Graduate Assistants are second-year MBA students and members of the Admissions Committee.
Off campus with an alumnus.
In selected hub interview cities throughout the world by staff or student.
· If you are invited to interview you will receive your final admissions decision by 5:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on Thursday January 3, 2007.
Official Transcripts and Scores
If you have not already submitted your official transcripts and GMAT/Language test scores to the GSB we highly encourage you to do so now. All invited applicants are required to have submitted all official transcripts and GMAT/Language test scores to the GSB. WE WILL NOT MAKE A FINAL DECISION TO ADMIT WITHOUT THE REQUIRED OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS.
