Best bet is always to call the school on logistics related q's..... but ... no, its not going to impact you.

Oh gawd....this is going to be the longest two weeks of my life. Plus Mar 26 comes earlier for me here in SE Asia so i'm going to be checking my email at night, after a long day at work and French class. This time difference thing worked for my application coz the deadline seemed earlier than it really was but now...*sigh* The best part is: the other school in Boston is releasing admittances on the same day! $#^%&^ GSB pls call me anytime that week, wake me up at 4am...i don't care! Just be an admit call....pretty pls? :lol:

Rhyme, anywhere in GSB for me to continue my French classes?

Actually, i expect some admits to be reported next week. But these will be people getting off of R1 waitlist. I expect R2 calls to start trickling in 24th onwards. So, its not too far away.

I have a feeling there will be a lot more people added to the admit list when they make decisions. Between K and GSB the city of chicago is becoming the center of the gmatclub universe.

I didn't apply to GSB, but I can do a countdown with you guys here.. since this thread always seemed like a party :) The HBS thread is very quiet.. and Chi & H have the same d-day.. so.. 10 days to go guys!!!

I just logged in yesterday (by chance) and found my transcript status had changed from received to not-received... I have no idea how this happened...Did this happen to anyone? Had I not checked my online application, I wouldnt have known 'cos I didnt receive an email!!!

With only 10 days left I am not sure how this will affect my application. Rhyme, any inputs...

I hurried and sent a notarized copy by overnight mail. I am going to call GSB on monday.

I am somehow not comfortable with this transcript thing... If I get admitted I am going to speak to Rose to change it somehow to make it more applicant friendly :)

Something similar happened in my case. I had forgotten to send my official score report after the interview. I logged in on 7th and found a message in red, which prompted me to immediately request from gmac. The website has still not been updated so I plan to call them tomorrow to inquire.

Chicago is releasing decisions for all candidates waitlisted in R1 on 20th. This means the fate of most of us have been decided. I would think that they would have finalized most if not all R2 admits before releasing decisions for R1 WL.

Has GSB raised the language requirement?

I was taking a look at the material needed to enroll when I found that iBT is 104, but I'm almost sure that when they first published requirements it was 100. Not that I'll have any trouble, mine is 109, I'm just intrigued.

there are some posts on BW. take a look at chicago r1 waitlist thread. Also on GSB discussion forums and the march 12th Chat, Rose had indicated that decisions on R1 WL would be out before regular R2 deadline.

Thanks svrider...

Is the official transcript verification a prerequisite for getting our files to the adcom for making a decision?

After the hurried overnight mail I sent on saturday, I called today morning to find my original transcript already there in my file!!! So did it suddenly change from 'verified' to 'not verified', I have no clue.

I believe this process needs to be optimized.

Can I just say: I'm so glad that we have this forum and all you guys out there...so we can freak out together. It's more comforting this way. :twisted:

Gluck to all R1 waitlisters...you guys must have had a harder time waiting. Pls dun take my seat! (I mean if I have a seat in the 1st place...)

when i read your post, the first thought that crossed my mind was that this guy is in. Things screw up only for those people who are being looked at. I will tell you what my mind thought in the second that i read your post: the adcom decides they want to admit this applicant. does he have the official transcripts? cant find it, change the status to not received. You call, they search again. ah here it is. he had already submitted.. all is good with this guy.

It may be completely rational or irrational. it just goes on to show how desperate our minds are to decipher meaning out of anything and everything.
