Wow .. congratulations helg!! I also got a confirmation that I am in. Oh what a relief!!! All the best to everyone still waiting. To those that got a deny, all the best with your remaining applications.
Don't despair.... people get off the waitlist (in fact, didn't someone here get off the R1 waitlist already?)

I know, but it leaves me hanging, I was kind of hoping for a clean yes (and after that didn't appear likely) a clean no. While it gives me a slight hope still, it doesn't let me focus on getting ready to go to Michigan. I wonder when they'll make R2 waitlist decisions. Probably after my Michigan deposit.
Congrats to all the admits, and my condolences to those who got dinged. Man R2 was tough comparatively.
i agree. it appears as though there were a ton of waitlists on the bw forums. since only a fraction of people post, i assume there were a sizeable number of total waitlists. it's hard to say about chicago since a lot of the admits will end up going to H S W and other schools, but clearly it does not look good for waitlisters considering that app volume is up this year. personally, i am going to write it off as a ding and focus on the other 3 schools i am waiting on.
the waitlist rocked my confidence since this was my best app. also, it's hard to get really excited about decisions coming from stanford, wharton and columbia. i guess there is no correlation between results at different schools, but it's hard to imagine getting an admit at stanford or wharton after a ding at chicago. the nightmare of waiting continues.

Congrats, man!
bherronp, best of luck and don't stay too long on WL, receive your admit message.
congrats Helg, other admits and all the waitlisted folks. WL is better than a ding. So who is in for R1 later this year ? I suggest analyzing each others essays and finding tons of potential improvement for ding therapy.
Thanks for congrats, everyone! I feel a bit uneasy posting my admit amongst so many dings...
nupurgupt, poochandi, svrider, KingKREEP, bsd_lover, vchhaochharia, adcxaway, pandeyrav, tsaditya, max125, grap - guys, I feel very sorry for your dings! I hope some of you won't give up and re-apply next year, or just go to other great schools!
