Just recieved my interview invite from Columbia and this is sort of my last chance at class of 2010. I am a wild card candidate with a definitely competitive profile according to bsd and others and I was hoping to get help from you admits.
I am supposed to upload a resume and I need help in making sure my resume is up to par...apparently that was one of the worst items in my application...and for those in the U.S would someone mind doing mock interviews with me?

what is your pitch for how you plan to make the transition from biomed research to finance? basically, i am wondering how you plan to utilize this interview opportunity (congrats on the opportunity!) to tell your story. i think it's critical that you really sell the transition you are trying to make. i definitely think that your research experience would add value to a capital markets biotech research team, but this may not be readily apparent to someone outside of the capital markets. you could do yourself a big favor by shoring up your story and making it as easy to understand as possible while simultaneously relating it to the extensive finance offerings at columbia. i mention this 1) because i know something about your area of interest and could potentially help you strategize and 2) to help focus you on what you need to succeed in the interview (the resume is just one component and is not as important as what you actually say during the interview). let me know if i can help!
