Haha dj, you're well and truly in charge of the NYC hub of gmatclubbers.
What I find interesting is how a lot more gmatclubbers seem to be applying to Chicago (Kellogg and Chicago GSB), when compared to New York (Columbia and Stern). In fact, initially there were a lot of applicants to Columbia including myself (I think this thread reached 15 pages in no time). This was perhaps due to the ED and J-Term deadline of Columbia. But from there, interest levels fell a little.
I find this particularly strange since I would have thought that the NYC location alone would be a HUGE drawcard for most applicants (both local and international). So why is it that non NY (especially Chicago) schools are witnessing so many more gmatclub applicant ? Is it just the rhyme effect ? Is the the bw rankings ? What's going on ? Any thoughts ?
