Nothing today *sigh*

The only reason I am stressing out about this is because I feel that I am a really strong candidate for the school, so I am in disbelief that I haven't gotten an interview invite yet!

Maybe they read my essay and deduced that I was a megalomaniac. Dammit!

well most people think it really is random. I didn't always, but eventually came around...

If it was absolutely random from the very start until the very last two applications waiting to be read in each round, it would be a very impressive, well-conceived, exceptionally-fair system. I highly doubt it's absolutely random but I'm very sure it's essentially random within an overwhelmingly large range of applications.

I guess what is random, and certainly impacts the timing is the assignment of profiles to readers. Consider that each app is ready 2 to 4 times. It depends who are assigned to reading the files. If your file is assigned to 2 full timers, they will be read through much quicker than if they are assigned to part timers (2nd year students) and then they need to be re read by somebody at the Adcom.

Regarding the order I believe is first in first serve. There was a post from Rose Martinelli about the benefit of submitting early.

Anyhow, relax, we are still 9 days from deadline and there is virtually nothing you can do but wait. As harsh as it sounds, it is what it is...

Had my on-campus interview today. Very different from my Kellogg interview in that it was more formal and structured, probably b/c this was on-campus with the admissions office whereas my Kellogg interview was with an alumnus in a coffee shop.

That being said, I enjoyed the interview and conversation with the 2nd year student that conducted it - and it confirmed why Booth is my first choice.

No unexpected questions. Asked me to walk him through my resume, why MBA (and why Booth MBA), short-term and long-term goals, interests outside of work. They schedule the interviews in 30 minute increments and it went very, very fast.

Now, it is all out of my hands! Don't know how I can wait until March 23rd/24th to hear back from Booth!

I didn't receive an email invite...but on a whim I logged into the system today and was able to schedule an interview. I called admissions, and they told me that if I was able to access the system, then I had been invited.

My application went complete on the 22nd.

I did get an invite to interview for NYU today, which makes me feel a TON better about not having one from Chicago yet!

somehow i've learn't that in this game, no news is bad news. congrats on the Stern invite, they are an insanely competitive school to get through !

I do not think its a bug because I am not not able to shedule the interview :cry: Has your status changed to "invited to interview".

Definitely not a bug... I called and they confirmed I had been invited to interview but that there was a problem with the email system.

Status still says complete.
