I was wondering when everyone was planning on leaving there job?

Once you are admitted, it doesn't really matter right? I have heard some people are leaving now and taking the summer off and others are working until right before classes.

They don't care when they do the background check do they?

Any information as to when you are planning to leave your job / what Booth's policy is would be greatly appreciated...

Did anyone get an e-mail directly from the fabulous Rose Martinelli? I'm guessing it's something she sends to everyone? But I'd hate to blow it off if it really is a personalized letter...

I didn't an email from her, but then again, I didn't get any money either. She might only be emailing the top admits. In either case, it can't hurt to shoot back a quick reply.

Nope, on both counts.
So it's a mystery. Wouldn't be the first baffling bit of this process.
(Though Booth has been really good about transparency, over all, I think.)

I got an email from Rose too. I think the email went to people who got scholarships. I will definitely reply.
I have not registered for the admit weekend yet. Is anybody thinking about turning down Chicago for other school?

I see that Aenigma and tdave got some $$. If John2511 got $$ it means that Booth is trying to recruit the people to whom it offered money. Pretty cool.

Also, anyone hear back from R1 or R2 hear about any of the fellowships?

I know for a fact that they are having trouble recruiting the top students from my geography... it's a really small sub-set and everybody knows everybody else so news gets around. All of them (~5 of us that I know of) except me are attending Wharton or HBS. I really like Chicago, absolutely hate Wharton and didn't get into HBS so I am the only one I know seriously considering Booth. I am still on the fence though; I have a job I really like that pays me very well so I might just continue working and re-apply next year to HBS/Stanford if Booth doesn't give me a fellowship or up the stakes in some way. :(
