Good luck guys! I had told myself that this time around I will not spend time on GC and BW and won't be anxious about receiving any calls on the 25th. I had even decided on another school and am close to signing a lease and moving to New York. But Booth has been a dream that I now want Adcom to just shatter once and for all! In fact, the WL process has been so annoying that I almost feel like turning down the offer if I get in.

why don't you reapply next year? i think this is what i'm going to do if luck turns its back on me this wednesday.... i figured i could still get some useful experience over the next year.

Stern fits my goals well (although Booth would be an ideal place given my interest in finance and economics) and I want to start a family sooner than later. I also feel ready to enter B school. I did think hard about reapplying next year if Booth does not work out this time but life is full of trade offs and the decision to go to school now makes more sense to me.

okay, if i had other options, i'd probably be thinking the same )) the problem is - i have no other school that accepted me!!!!! and in that sense i'm lucky not to be torn between schools. i'm still feeling torn though...

I will likely have to withdraw and reapply next year (earlier than round 3!) if I don't get a reply this Wednesday. I have to let my employer know by the end of the month...

I'm still here. Didn't lose hope. Should they call today? I'm currently doing some consulting work for a company in Switzerland, but I'm originally from Brazil. Looking at my cell phone every 5 minutes. Hope that it rings today.

Never felt as tortured as during this waitlist period. Seriously, going through this process, having no control over the outcome, is a real challenge.

does anyone know till when the summer months waitlist period could possibly last? don't admits have to accept/reject the offer by a certain deadline?

I have heard as late as September 2nd. I know this sucks, but not everyone who have paid deposit show up for class.

What's the point to keep international candidates who need a lot of time for visa on the waitlist?

Didn't receive any call yet - I can't believe it is almost June and I'm still here, hanging in there, as if they could call me at any moment. Never thought I would be wating this long. This is painful, dude.

someone at BW is saying that the R3 deposit deadline is tomorrow and therefore Adcom is not expected to make any calls today. Can someone call Adcom and get a sense of call expectations and WL movement? Recall that for the last round of decisions, a few of us called Adcom and were told that they will not be making any calls the day prior to decisions - and yet calls were made later in the day. Good luck everyone!

I don't know if this should mean anything, but I didn't receive any calls yesterday. Yet my status in Booth's website is still the same as it was since the R3 waitlist communication.

Did anyone receive any calls?

Hi all,

Just general advice for international students. I spent unexpectedly more than 3 months to get my visa due to bureaucracy in my country. It was funny story when school required document A for my son, authority that issues A required document B, authority that issues B required document C, and authority C required document D. Now, you can imagine that each authority needed some time... I'm not kidding :)))
So, don't wait till the last minute.

I'm sorry, I am not quite sure what you mean. Do you mean to say that they will be getting in touch with all waitlisted candidates and updating the application status by the end of the week?

I meant that although the wailist letter that we received after R3 mentioned that decisions would start being made on May 26th (ie, today), the Admissions Office will release those decisions to all waitlisted candidates sometime this week - most likely until Friday. So, there are no precise dates for those updates to come out (they could reach us today, tomorrow, or even on Friday).

By the way - there was an Admissions chat just now in which Rose explained that June 4th is the due date for the initial payment of those candidates admitted in R2. She said she would have a better picture of who should come out of the waitlist by then - we should expect to hear news from the school by that week also (or shortly after that week).

Rose said she was going to make some decisions today. But the real deadline would be June 4th. I mean, the whole thing got kind of lose right now - we have a range of dates when they could be calling us. Hang in there, it's almost over!
